Sunday done properly. We’re talking proper roast dinners, the kind where the meat’s cooked right, the Yorkshire puddings actually rise, and the gravy’s worth mopping up with an extra roastie.
Quality meat, seasonal veg, and all the trimmings. The sort of meal where you sit back afterwards, genuinely full, and remember why Sunday Roast is still a thing worth making time for.
Whether you’ve been hitting balls at the range or you’re just after somewhere to gather the family, you’re day is sorted. Book ahead though, Sundays get busy!
Year-round, every Sunday, Chef Matthew Haggath and his team dish up a proper Sunday roast celebrating the best of our family beef farm, the Josper grill, and the season, served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, and cauliflower cheese.
Alongside this we also serve up our most popular dishes from our main menu – sometimes you just fancy ‘something else’.
Sundays at HALWYN are popular, so we recommend booking ahead to guarantee your favourite table. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere – Monday is a long way away!

Are we the best Sunday roast in Newquay? You can be the judge of that but we sure are proud of what we do. Not only do we turn up with the tasty goods but we also think that our countryside setting provides a great space for a Sunday get together.
If it’s cold and rainy, you’ll feel cosy in its rustic warmth and if there’s an opportunity to enjoy the sun you can make the most of it sat outside in our garden, featuring stunning views across the farm.
Between the driving range, mini golf, and a proper Sunday roast, you’ve got everything you need for a decent day out. It’s the sort of place where everyone finds something they want to do, and nobody’s checking their watch.
And if the weather turns – which, let’s be honest, it does – the covered bays and indoor areas mean you’re not scrambling for the car park. Stay for lunch, have another go at the range, see if anyone can actually beat each other at mini golf. Easy.
