Just a few miles from Newquay, our farmhouse style restaurant is a rustic warm space to enjoy coffee, lunch or dinner. Whether you choose to dine from our Bay Menu on the driving range, share small plates with friends over lunch, or dive into our signature large plates for dinner. With uninterrupted views out over the Cornish countryside to Cubert and a rustic outdoor dining area for when the sun shines, you can sit back and make yourself at home. Think oak beams, wood pannels, with views over the rolling fields and Trevowah Herd towards Cubert – and we’re featured in Trencherman’s Guide.
Our food philosophy is rooted in seasonal produce and Cornish provenance. Trevowah Herd Beef reared by Cousin Tim on the family farm is championed across the menu. With a Josper Charcoal Grill at the heart of our kitchen, we pack smokey flavours into as many dishes as we dare. From the fields of our family farm to the rugged North Cornwall coastline, every plate tells a story of heritage and place.
Our restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday.
Lunch menus are available 12-2.30pm
Dinner menus 6-9pm
Sunday Roast served 12-5pm
Lazy mornings, beach walks and Sunday Roast. Expect Trevowah Herd sirloin of beef, herb marinated loin of pork or nut roast, all served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and cauliflower cheese. Children get a free round of mini golf when you book Sunday Roast.
Join us for Christmas party feast nights on the 29 November, 6 & 13 December, we’ll be dishing up a five-course feasting menu, and of course there will be golf!
Our wine list is a reflection of front of house manager Finley’s love for wine and the joy it brings him when shared. It’s shaped by the knowledge he gained while studying for his WSET Level 3 qualification, and guided by a curiosity for different styles, regions, and pairings. The result is a list that’s thoughtful yet unpretentious, full of bottles that spark conversation and discovery. And of course, it gives him the perfect excuse to keep “researching” new favourites.
Our restaurant is suited to group gatherings and celebrations, with private access to two driving range bays. Enjoy views of the Cornish countryside and a large garden area with shelter. For groups of more than 10, please get in touch to book.
Visitors to HALWYN can warm up with a session on our driving range or some light hearted competition on our mini golf course, a thoroughly fun way to work up an appetite while enjoying a pre-dinner drink.
